About this deal

I didn't feel any significance in his role, like the story would still be the same even if he wasn't there. As the novel opens, 16-year-old Naomi has fallen down a flight of stairs and lost all memory of the past four years. Filming began on 26 November 2008 and ended in early January 2009, using a script by Gabrielle Zevin, author of the source material.

not Rosa Rivera, but Naomi Porter) But, overall, most of what happened rang true, though possibly not all of it was completely plausible. Even easy things like directions, let alone important or semi-controversial topics like why a fight started or what a person was generally like.

The premise is really intriguing-- the title alone made me pick it up, but I just dont think I could have hated it more. Sure, he tries annoying hard to get Naomi back into bed, which I find somewhat disturbing, but at least he's pretty nice. I was proud of how Naomi dealt with her family, but with boys she definitely still has some work to do. Some doctors suspect that Naomi may be using the accident to suppress past trauma, but Naomi is not convinced.

Last, and most personal and picky: I realize that lots of teenagers use profanity and lots of teenagers have sex, but, ick.She has her flaws and characteristic quirks, and after reading the last page I feel like her story does go on, that she's out there living her life. It starts with her waking up in hospital and having to face new,or maybe not so new, people and situations which she has vague, indistinct and futile memories of.
