About this deal

Huntingtons is a horrendous disease which has been given a platform to be recognised and in some little way understood. It seems as though some people don’t want Miles to connect to his children, and are doing anything necessary to eliminate the rest of them.

It isn’t creepy, nor does it give you the chills (like Dead Silence), but it keeps the pages turning.

Marla has had a life-long obsession with books, reading more than 100 books per year for the last several years. What’s more, the anonymous children that he sired as a result of his sperm contributions to a local fertility clinic when he was a young, struggling and impoverished start-up entrepreneur stand a 50% chance of inheriting the gene that will give them the same disease. When tech multimillionaire Miles Cookson gets a diagnosis of Huntingdon's Disease this sets off a chain of events that he could never have envisaged.

Miles is a self made millionaire in his 40’s who has just found out that he has Huntington’s which is a genetic disease. Keeping the reader in suspense throughout the experience, Barclay crafts wonderful stories that tell an underlying story, while chilling those who venture to delve deeper. When single millionaire Miles Cookson finds out that he has a fatal disease, he sets out to make things right. In Find You First he surpasses his own past successes with a multi-strand plot that bounces, in short, cliff-hanging chapters.

Like all his books this is an entertaining story but unfortunately it's full of f-bombs and blasphemy. Dark characters, devilish deeds, and a near death by stiletto made this one a super fun and clever read! Born in the US, his parents moved to Canada just as he was turning four, and he's lived there ever since.

I can prescribe tetrabenazine, which will help with your symptoms when they become more pronounced, but it’s not a cure.

Thank you to NetGalley and Scene of the Crime, William Morrow/Custom House for the copy of this one to read.

She has lived in Texas her entire life, and her background and education is in the Criminal Justice field. With light woven throughout, it is a moving story of missed opportunities, second chances and unfulfilled potential. One by one, Miles's other potential heirs are vanishing--every trace of them wiped, like they never existed at all.
